Mist Tea Pitcher

Mist Tea Pitcher

Good morning, tea sippers! Today, as we desperately try to hold onto those sweet and warm summer days we will be once again featuring our most popular tea ware product, our Mist tea pitcher! If you are a long time blog subscriber with us, you know that I have spoken of this before (I'll link those previous posts below), but because it is such a staple with us here, I figured it deserved another mention and feature.

(Plus, we just received a new shipment of these so hurry up and grab yourself one because they don't last long around here!)

If you are, instead, new to the tea sipping community, let me introduce you the easiest and simplest way to make your iced tea. Our Mist pitcher is, by far, our most popular tea ware product, and let me tell you why. If you enjoy iced tea to help quench your thirst, sip slowly throughout the day, or just as your favorite little life pleasure this product will make making it an absolute breeze. To make it, you simply have to follow these 3 steps:

1. Cover the bottom of your pitcher with your favorite loose leaf tea. That amounts to approximately 2 heaping tablespoons of tea.

2. Fill the remainder of your pitcher with room temperature water.

**Feel free to add your favorite sweetener such as sugar, agave, maple syrup, or whatever you prefer as well as any other component you see fit. Perhaps a citrus component or some berries may be good here!

3. Place your pitcher in the fridge for 2-6 hours. (I usually let mine work it's magic over night, and wake up to a fresh pitcher of tea in the morning!)

Wah-lah, as I always say! You have just made yourself a delicious pitcher of iced tea to be enjoyed throughout your day and into the evening.

There are so many reasons to love this pitcher but let me outline a few for you. First, the strainer is included right within the pitcher itself, so you don't have to mess around with filtering your loose leaf tea out for each individual glass. You can just leave your tea within the pitcher whilst enjoying and dump it out once you finish the pitcher in its entirety. You will notice some swelling in the pieces, especially with our tisanes, but this is normal and is just ensuring that you are getting all of the flavors out of your tea.

Next, we love this pitcher as it is made of  borosilicate glass which allows you the ability to also put boiling water in it, should you need to. You may have to do this in the instance that you forgot to make tea ahead of time, or unexpected company shows up. To do this, you implore basically the same steps mentioned above, except for with Step 2 you simply add about 2 cups of boiling water to the Mist pitcher with your tea, let it steep for the appropriate time (we include appropriate times for each tea on our labels), and then add room temperature water or ice to the remainder of the pitcher. This allows you to make the same great iced tea that you know and love in a fraction of the time.
While there are so many more reasons that we love the Mist tea pitcher, the last one that I'll mention here is that it comes in two sizes. We have our 50-ounce option, which fits nicely into most refrigerator door shelves for easy accessibility, as well as our larger, 68-ounce size. We recommend this one for families or if you just happen to have a specific tea that you really can't get enough of. That being said, both Susan and I have multiple 50-ounce pitchers that we keep in our refrigerators year round as we like to have a little variety in our lives! Whatever works best for you, we know you're going to love this product and highly recommend giving it a try today!
