Good Life Tea is located on the bustling Main Street in the heart of the Finger Lakes in Canandaigua, NY. We pride ourselves on offering you a wide variety of more than 120 different premium loose leaf teas along with a broad assortment of teaware.
In October of 2013, Rob Obrien opened the doors of the shop with hopes of bringing the pure enjoyment, bliss, and appreciation of tea to its customers. Rob’s mission included encouraging customers to relax with our teas, supporting customers as they used the teas to refresh from the mundanity that everyday life and to reassure them that drinking tea may help to rejuvenate passions that may have fallen to the wayside. This led him to our tagline and slogan that we still love to this day; “Relax Refresh Rejuvenate”.
Unexpectedly, Rob passed on in October of 2020, and in the spring of the next year, ownership of the shop transitioned to long time manager, Susan Albert. Susan had worked with Rob for almost 7 years and the changeover was relatively seamless. Rob’s business model continues and, thus, his motto of Relax, Refresh, Rejuvenate is still germaine. As this new chapter of the business begins, we are still committed to providing the opportunity to our customers to depart from the stress of everyday life and to contemplate renewal and relaxation by enjoying a cup of tea.
In her youth, Susan Albert, spent many summers on the shores of Canandaigua Lake and is a proud William Smith College graduate. She has two beautiful children, as well as two growing granddaughters. As a resident of Geneva, Susan loves to try out new restaurants there and in the surrounding Finger Lakes area. On Sunday afternoons, she often can be found immersed in a good book with a cup of Autumn Sunset tea. In the shop, she engages the customers regarding their tea preferences and, if they wish, offers new tastes to explore. She has been with Good Life Tea from the beginning and is our own personal tea aficionado! Whether you have a question about which tea she thinks will best suit your personal palette or what is the best way to drink tea based on your lifestyle, chances are, based on her experience, she has a suggestion! We are so proud to work with Susan and can’t wait to see what she has planned and in store for our future!
