5 Must Have Back To School Items for Tea Lovers

It's That Time of Year...

Can you believe it’s already back to school season?! In the upcoming weeks students and parents will load up their cars with all of the essentials. I remember preparing for my first move-in day four years ago at Denison University. I checked my packing list at least three times before leaving the house. Now, there’s one item I didn’t bring as a freshman that became an absolute MUST HAVE by my senior year. You guessed it, TEA. Tea was my go-to for everything from a relaxing afternoon on the quad to a late night study session in the stacks.

You may be wondering, how anyone makes tea in a dorm? Well I’ll tell you it’s surprisingly easy with a few tips and tricks. Here are my top 5 must have tea ware items for any tea loving student.

1. Electric Tea Kettle

I didn't have my own kitchen until my senior year of college, so the easiest way to boil water in my dorm was with my Electric Tea Kettle. The five temperature are perfect for accommodating various teas and with it’s auto-shut-off feature you'll never have to worry about leaving the kettle on before dashing off to class. It also doesn’t whistle which means you can make tea all night long without waking up the roommates.

2. Stainless Steel Infuser Basket

This infuser was my absolute go-to for hot tea. All you do is add a teaspoon or so of your favorite tea to the basket, pour some hot water in your cup, wait a few minutes, and you're done. BAM. It's as easy as that.

3. Stainless Steel Tumbler

I was constantly on-the-go in college, so tumblers were an absolute must. This loose leaf tea tumbler has a removable infuser basket which makes tea easy. Just add your favorite tea, pour hot water into the tumbler and your work is done. And the best part is the double-walled stainless steel which keeps tea hot for hours at time.

4. Tea Brew Bags

I always carried make-your-own Tea Brew bags around with me for those times I couldn't make it back to my room and craved some Pomegranate Oolong. Put a teaspoon or so of your favorite tea in a bag and fold it up. Then all you need is a little hot water and you can enjoy tea anytime anywhere.

5. Mist Iced Tea Pitcher

There was no better way to cool down from a hot walk through the quad than with a glass of refreshing iced tea. A Mist Pitcher is perfect for students because all you to do is add some tea, fill it with water, stick in your fridge, and wait a little while. It's that easy!

I certainly wouldn't have survived college without tea, so give a tea loving student you know the best going away gift with one of these handy gadgets!
