Hello, my fellow tea compatriots! This week has been quite the week for me & I don't know about you all, but in this week, it's a "TGIF!" from me! For those of you that don't know, I am truly blessed in my professions. I absolutely love being able to write to you all & hear your responses, but I am also a teacher for a school in Hilton, NY! I teach children from ages about 7-12 & this time of quarantine has been quite the change & adjustment. They & their parents alike have all been wonderful but lesson planning from afar for both myself & I'm sure the parents has been a new & challenging experience.
In working with Good Life Tea though, & with the guidance of my superiors here, I have been fortunate enough that my professions can intermingle nowadays! As you know, I have become quite passionate about tea. I love it & feel as though it can serve a purpose & place in anyone's day! What's been even more wonderful is I have been able to share this love from afar with my students! At Good Life Tea we have a variety of teas that not only are made differently to begin with, but also, contain many different ingredients.
One of our delicious teas, that is especially fun for kids to not only drink but also, to watch steep is our Three Flower Burst. This tea is not only delightfully delicious & light, but it actually really "blooms" as it steeps. As this is kind of a hard thing to picture, I'm going to include a gif below. Kids absolutely love watching this tea as it steeps & blooms within either the kettle or glass! Heck, I love watching this tea! It is very similar and reminiscent of the animal sponge capsules that I had as a kid & that I'm sure many of you remember. Oh how I loved those!
Another very cool group of teas that we have here are the tisanes! For those unfamiliar, tisane teas are teas that are comprised of dried fruits and herbs! What's even better is that all of our tisane teas are caffeine free & therefore will not keep you up at night! We here at the shop joke about how our tisane tea's are great for kids as they are almost a natural Kool-Aid! (haha!) The natural sweet flavors of the dried fruits make them especially appealing to the palettes of children.
A few of our most favorite with the children are our Strawberry Kiwi, our Berry Berry, & our Last Mango in Paris. These teas are comprised of flavors that prove attractive to kids as they mirror more candy flavors. I'm sure that you can deduce that Strawberry Kiwi is made of dried strawberries & kiwis. It is absolutely delicious both warm, but also refreshing served cold & over ice!
Our Berry Berry is made of a medley of elderberry, hibiscus, raisin, & a baseline blueberry. While this may sound peculiar, children love the tanginess of the berry blend!
Last Mango in Paris, one of my personal favorites, blends the flavors of mango, orange, & apple, with the more flower notes of hibiscus & rosehips. This tea is definitely dominated by the more fruity notes. It is, in my opinion, best served cold. It is absolutely refreshing & reminds me of sweet summer days!
A couple other tisane teas that we have, that are not only caffeine free, but even promote sleep for your little ones are our Sleep Better & Gentle Slumber. These teas both contain chamomile which is widely known for it's calming properties. Again, I don't know about you, but by the end of these long days teaching from home, I certainly need to steep a large cup of something to ease me into the evening!
If you all have found any teas that the little ones in your life prefer, please feel free to comment & share below! We absolutely love hearing from you & how you are enjoying tea! Stay safe & sane out there, friends! - Kaytea :)
