New study says tea lowers blood pressure

by Robert O'Brien October 23, 2014

This Time Magazine article reports that drinking tea over a 12 week period has lowered blood pressure on a randomized test group over the 12 week test period. This small, but significant drop in blood pressure may " reduce stroke risk by 8%, coronary artery disease mortality by 5% and all-cause mortality by 4% at a population level,”

The conclusion is that drinking tea is good for you.  It lowers your blood pressure which helps your heart and therefore you live longer.
At Good Life Tea, we believe that drinking tea calms you down.  Its the small, but significant act of making tea and taking a few minutes to enjoy it that creates a moment of calmness within us. The act or making and drinking tea helps lower blood pressure.  We certainly welcome the science, but tea drinkers already knew that.
Drink tea. It helps you calm down.
